Power features and control.

• Scope Ask to the smallest trustworthy source — When you Ask over your own material, choose the smallest scope that holds the answer: the current item, the current Space, or all your Spaces. Ask can also answer how Omphalis works from the guide. A narrower scope gives a more checkable answer, and every answer cites its sources. Searching all your Spaces is part of the higher plans; the item and Space scopes are always there.
• How a Bridge links two Spaces — A Bridge is a private suggestion that your work in two of your own Spaces meets at a shared subject, surfacing a link across a boundary you keep apart. Nothing is shared with anyone and no permissions change; you can open both sides or dismiss it. It is reversible and descriptive.
• Adopt a Thread as a Trail — A Thread is a concentration Omphalis has noticed. When you recognize it as an inquiry worth continuing, adopt it as a Trail inside one Space.
• Operate a large Library — A large Library stays usable through stable metadata, lightweight tags, purposeful Collections, scoped retrieval, and periodic removal of structures that no longer help return.
• Follow provenance before you rely on a suggestion — Every mark and connection links back to its exact passage and source item, so you can inspect provenance before relying on it. Omphalis does not display a confidence score or label; it keeps an internal sense of certainty, stays quiet on thin signal, and leaves the judgement to you.
• Export and data ownership — Export supports custody and portability of your data while preserving third-party source rights. Current privacy, export, and deletion controls live in Settings.
• Build cross-format workflows — Cross-format workflows place articles, PDFs, recordings, meetings, and your own notes in one comprehension stream while preserving format-specific provenance.
• Use Settings as the control plane — Settings is the control plane for preferences, subscription, voice choice, integrations, privacy controls, and help.
• What a save costs — Settings, under Billing: the information mark on the plan card's first bullet opens How units work, which lists your plan's rates, and This cycle below it shows usage against allowance and the days to reset. Read both there rather than from a guide: rates are configuration and what happens when an allowance runs out depends on your plan and your top-ups. The cost of a save follows the size of the item and settles after extraction, and a save is never refused for want of budget. Writing in a notebook is not metered, and keeping a recording spends no units however long it runs; a recording counts against storage, one made in a notebook is capped at thirty minutes while imported audio is not, and transcribing is the exception that does spend units, by the length of the audio.
• Keep and Dismiss calibrate the system — Keep and Dismiss on marks and connections are calibration signals: Omphalis slowly adjusts what it surfaces to match what you've shown is useful, without rewriting your stated interests.
• Read the notifications bell — One bell in the app shell has two tabs. Activity is your in-product stream: processing finishing, an export ready, or something needing attention. Updates is a product-announcement inbox rendered as cards. The two are separated so the working signal is not buried under announcements.
