Spaces, Trails, Threads, Collections, and tags

A Space is a major life context and comprehension lens, not a folder. Work and family may need separate Spaces because each changes what is relevant. In the current product, an item belongs to one Space. A Trail is a user-recognized ongoing inquiry inside one Space.
A Thread is a related concentration Omphalis has noticed. It is a suggestion, not yet your declared inquiry; you can adopt a worthwhile Thread as a Trail. A Collection is a deliberate user-curated list, not a long-running question, and may gather items across Spaces. A tag is a lightweight flat label for retrieval and filtering.
Use the lightest structure that preserves your intent. Choose a Space for a major context, a Trail for an inquiry you recognize and want to continue, adopt a Thread only when the noticed concentration matters, use a Collection for a curated set, and use tags for flat filtering.
