What Omphalis does with a piece
Last updated 2026-07-31, from the Learn Omphalis edition.
When you keep something, Omphalis works on it in four layers. Clean turns the source into one calm, readable page: article clutter stripped, PDF layout untangled, audio and video transcribed, with the author's words left intact. Structure (shown as Strata) reads the piece and marks 8 to 12 typed moments, its openings, claims, examples, turns, and conclusions, so you can see the shape of what you are about to read.
Mark adds quiet, high-precision notes as dotted underlines, points where a source is worth checking, a term is worth defining, or an idea is worth following further, alongside your own highlights and notes. Connection works slowly across everything you keep, surfacing echoes, tensions, and bridges between pieces. One calm page, its shape, quiet notes, and links that build over time. None of these layers shrink the piece so you can skip it; they help you read it more closely.
