How Today brings things back

Today is a finite return surface. It may bring back an unfinished item, a useful mark, or another bounded prompt supported by current product behavior. Complete, defer, or open the item; there is a clear end rather than an endless feed.
A return should explain why the item is here and preserve context. It should not fabricate urgency or turn your Library into a streak.
