What this site records about you

This statement covers this documentation site and nothing else. The Omphalis application is a separate system with its own policy, and this page does not speak for it.

What is not recorded

Nothing about you.

No analytics run here. There is no visitor counter, no page-popularity measurement, no error reporting, and no attempt to work out who you are or what you looked at. Nothing reads your device's characteristics to identify your browser. No request is made to any host other than the one serving this page — every font, stylesheet and image is served from here, so no third party learns you visited.

If you use the search on this site, what you type stays on this site. It is not sent to any other service.

What the site does store, and why

Some things are stored on your own device because they make the site work for you. Remembering what you searched for a moment ago, or which parts of the navigation you expanded, is storage in your service rather than surveillance of you.

The distinction that matters is not whether something is stored but what it is for. A cookie that remembers your preference is doing a job you would notice if it stopped. A cookie that follows you between sites is doing a job you never asked for. This site does the first and not the second.

How that is checked rather than promised

Every build of this site scans the artifact before publishing and refuses to publish if it finds a reference to a third-party host, an analytics or reporting call, a tracking beacon, or code that reads device characteristics for fingerprinting. Any script the site does ship is served from here and its bytes are verified against a hash recorded at build time.

What this does not cover

The honest part, and the reason this page is longer than one line.

The company hosting this site still processes the request that fetched this page. Your network address, your browser's identifying header and the path you asked for are visible at the network layer, because that is how a request reaches a server at all. Per-request log retention and log export are switched off, and Omphalis neither reads nor keeps that data — but this page describes what the site's own code does, and it says nothing about the network layer beneath it.

Anyone telling you a website can be reached without its host processing the request is mistaken. What can be true is that nothing is retained and nothing is examined, which is what is true here.

Links that leave this site

Some pages link to the Omphalis application, and the Learn section links out to sources it cites. Following any of those takes you to a system with its own policies, and this statement stops at the boundary. Those links carry no tracking parameters, and no request is made to them until you click.

No consent banner

You will not be asked to accept anything on this site. A consent banner exists to obtain permission for tracking; there is none to consent to, and showing a banner anyway would imply otherwise.

Changes

This page carries the date it was last reviewed, at the top. Because the claims here are enforced by the build rather than by policy alone, a change in what the site does requires a change to the checks, which is visible in the repository's history.
