Chapters when the source has them, Strata when it doesn't

Some sources declare their own outline: a PDF's bookmarks, an EPUB's navigation file, or chapter markers on a video or podcast. When that outline is real and passes a quality check, Omphalis shows it as Chapters, a navigation unit you can jump through directly.
Most sources don't declare an outline at all. Rather than guessing one from heading patterns, which is unreliable, Omphalis lets Strata map the shape of the piece instead: the typed moments the content actually moves through.
Chapters are real or absent, never invented. A source with heading-like text but no declared outline still gets Strata, not a fabricated Chapter tab.
