Policies for this site

Two statements, both narrow on purpose: they describe this documentation site and nothing else.

Privacy

The privacy statement covers what this site does and does not record. The short version is that it records nothing: no cookie, no client storage, no analytics, no error reporting, no visitor counter, and no request to any host other than this one.

The longer version matters more, because it says what that claim does not cover. The company hosting this site still processes the request that fetched a page — your address, your browser, the path you asked for — at the network layer, outside anything Omphalis controls. Per-request log retention and export are switched off, and Omphalis neither reads nor keeps that data, but the honest statement is that the zero-tracking claim says nothing about the network layer, and the page says so rather than implying otherwise.

It also covers what the app does, by pointing at the app's own policy. The republished courses in Learn are the one place this site carries content Omphalis did not write, so the content statement governs them specifically. This site and the Omphalis app are not the same thing: the app does set cookies and does measure usage, because it has an account to keep.

Content licensing

The licensing notice states the rule that governs every published course page: the course's own text, a citation for each source, and a link out. Never the source material. It names the licence covering Omphalis-authored text here, what that licence permits, and what is excluded from it — cited source material, trademarks and logos.

It also carries the takedown route. If you hold rights in something a course cites and you want it stopped, that page tells you what to send and how quickly it takes effect.

Check results

The zero-tracking claims above are checked against the deployed site rather than asserted once. The results are published, naming the exact version of the site they were run against, and are reachable in one step from the privacy statement.
